Design Philosophy
What to Expect
What can you expect from my campaigns? Well, my goal is to strike a balance between offering an accurate, study-level simulation while still being accessible to beginners. I’ve played plenty of DCS campaigns where the expertise required far exceeded my own capabilities in the jet, and I’ll admit, it can be frustrating. If I had to sum up my design philosophy, I’d say I want you to feel like you’re doing fighter pilot stuff—without the real-world complexity that comes with it. In short, I want you to have fun and be immersed in the story!

I still want you to face challenges, but I don’t want to frustrate you. I have great respect for full-study-level campaigns that use real-world brevity codes and jargon, where you’re flying around with a kneeboard, scribbling notes, and hunting for targets in your pod, while dodging SAMs and AAA. Those missions are legendary and definitely leave a knot in your stomach, just like I felt many times in the USAF. But my approach is a bit more laid-back. I focus on the fun and exhilarating parts of flying with your team, doing the kinds of missions most people only dream about.

I also don’t want you to spend an hour getting to the target, only to be shot down by a hidden MANPAD in a bush, forcing you to replay the entire mission. Don’t get me wrong—those super challenging campaigns are rewarding, but I’m aiming for something a little different. I understand that many players don’t have the time to dive deep into mission briefs or spend hours studying routes and rehearsing their tactics. That’s why I design campaigns with missions you can complete in about 1 to 1.5 hours, with minimal prep. You’ll still feel like you’re in the thick of it, but without the overwhelming workload.

I know there are players who crave that hardcore experience, and I love that too, sometimes. But for those nights when you just want to jump in, do a quick mission, and have fun, my campaigns are built with that in mind. If you’re after the intense, study-level campaigns, the legendary DCS creators already have you covered. But if you want a campaign that’s immersive, with a taste of real-world procedures and radio chatter, then mine are for you. I promise you’ll enjoy the stories and get a sense of what it’s like to fly a military aircraft for real.

As a career aviator instructor, I’ll also be providing "teaching moments" throughout my campaign, breaking down some of the jargon and offering tips to help guide you toward success. If all that sounds good, I invite you to dive in and check it out! I think you’re going to enjoy yourself!
In a nutshell
Study-Level
Implement real-world air traffic control procedures and TTPs in an unclassified manner!
Immersive
Make you feel like you're actually operating a military aircraft in a real-world scenario.
FUN!
Probably the most important characteristic. It is supposed to be fun. We play DCS for entertainment!
